Oak Glen Ministries supports the Boy Scout program in the Southern section of Dallas, Texas. The program addresses the issues of boys and girls in an urban setting from Lion Cubs to Eagle Scouts. The Scouts develop a strong sense of self and pride in themselves.
The Scouts learn lessons about life and the value of being a person of character and integrity. Scouting is unlike any other youth program. Scouting fosters the development of the whole person and offers youth the opportunity to participate in activities that will help launch
them on a successful course for life.
The mission is to provide young people with a place to grow and achieve at their highest level.
Scout Oath (or Promise)
On my honor, I will do my best
To do my duty to God and my country
and to obey the Scout Law;

To keep myself physically strong,
mentally awake, and morally straight.

A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly,
courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty,
brave, clean, and reverent.
